Welcome to the JLS Memorial Foundation

On December 27, 2001, Jamie Lynn Sullivan died in a tragic house fire while sleeping over a friends house. It was just four days before her tenth birthday.

The cause of the fire is unknown, however, the cause of death is smoke inhalation. The home in which she was staying did not have operable smoke detectors because all three smoke detectors were without batteries. The Fire Marshall reported that had the smoke detectors been in working condition, Jamie would be alive today.

This foundation was created in 2002 to help prevent other tragic incidents like Jamie's from happening again.
